Neighbors love to leave notes under my door and put things in the mail. Mostly because they are trying to be non confrontational. The notes are almost always complaints or someone's opinion that they feel needs to be heard by myself, and sometimes others. Sometimes the English isn't so good, but at least they are trying. Today my neighbor slipped this under my door.
I thought, how nice a note from my neighbor, until I read it. In case you cant make it out it says "Please Lower Your TV or Radio Thanks". My neighbor must have a bionic ear because the TV was barely audible over the background noise in my apartment. This was also at 4:30pm. At 4:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday you don't have the right to pass notes under your neighbors door asking them to turn down their already quiet TV or radio. So I did what I thought was the appropriate thing to do, I turned the volume up. And for added effect I started punching the wall repeatedly. After a dozen or so punches I realized that the skin on my knuckles was flaking off so I stopped with the punches. I then heard my doorbell make its noise(which isn't a bell, but a button connected to the thing that would normally ring the bell if there were a bell to be rung). The thing sounds like 2 flicks of a bic lighter. Needless to say it is quiet. Quiet enough to be heard by me over the loud TV. I walked over and opened the door and there stood my neighbor in her finest pink and white check house coat asking and motioning to me to lower the volume. I looked at her and closed the door. It was then that I decided I will sell this apartment and leave this building in search of someplace where I can play my TV and radio as loud as I please. Which isn't really that loud. I get to play with loud stereo at work for weeks on end and have little desire to do that at home.
