I leave for Los Angeles tomorrow to mix a show on new years eve.
Unlike some people I do not mind working on new years eve.
I actually enjoy it.
Working that night means I do not have to think of anything to do. And I don't have to feel guilty about staying home. Not that I ever feel guilty about staying home as anyone who knows me can attest to. What I do mind is traveling on December 30th and then again on January 1st. Way too many people flying at this time of year for my comfort and well being. Holiday travelers are the worst. The equivalent of the Sunday driver. I remember working locally on past new years eve where all I had to do was hop on the subway to get home. Does anyone remember when the subway was free on new years? Now I need to take a cab to and from the airport and hang out in a hotel for a few days. In between all that I will also get to mix a show. All I have to say is be careful what you wish for my friends. And don't bitch if get it.
