Eat a dick.

The last minute grab for everything I think I might need while I am away. Not much to grab as most of it is allready packed away in suitcase or computer/camera bag. But I still wander around the apartment looking for shit that I think I can't live without for the next few weeks. It's all bullkshit and I know it. I have more than enough stuff with me to keep me occupied and entertained and then some. Since I lost my Ipod a few weeks ago I have decided to press my old 40 gig back into service. This was a refurbished unit that Apple sent me after the first one took a shit on me after less than a year. Part of the big battery problem. OK, so I have an Ipod again. But being as this is an older 3rd generation model it only wants to charge through the firewire cable and not the USB cable. All of my music is on an external firewire hard drive. Connecting all of this to my computer at one time is impossible. Even with all the cables, adapters and crap that I posses. What I need is a firewire hub, but I am not about to buy one. I will sooner buy a new Ipod. I am beginning to hate all the different cables and formats and adapters that I need just to get all of stuff functioning together. 4 different hard drives plus Ipod and Pro Tools and some others misc. shit. I have had it with all this. So the past 20 minutes have been spent trying to use various hard drives as hubs to try and connect everything together so my Ipod can charge while it is importing new music from an external hard drive. No dice. Music is so over rated anyway. I leave for the airport in a few hours. enough time to buy a new Ipod but not enough time to charge it and transfer music.
